The Nobel Museum Bookbinding Exhibition is a collaboration between SBI (Swedish Bookbinders Guild) and the Nobel Museum. From its inception in 2005, when Harold Pinter was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2005, this collaboration has resulted in a bookbinding exhibition. The goal has been and continues to be to give bookbinders an opportunity to work together on a current event. What could be better than the Nobel Prize for Literature?
If something unites the writers that are exhibited in this year’s book binding exhibition – Patrick Modiano and Svetlana Alexievich – it is that they both have put the themes mentioned above at the very core of their writings.
We are happy to show these unique interpretations of the writings of Patrick Modiano and Svetlana Alexievich that bookbinders from Sweden, France, Canada and Belgium have created. The bindings are on display on the Nobel Museum in Stockholm until mid-February and from 10. March to 2. April on Hôtel Le Swann, in Paris http://www.hotel-leswann.com/en
Hera on our site you will find information about future exhibition projects. Visitors can also view the extensive collection of photographs from previous exhibitions. Most of the bindings are for sale, for more details please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The site also serves as an information channel for participants in the current exhibition project. Please feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions or comments.
We look forward to hearing from you.
